Old San Jose on the River originally came online as a high end luxury condo project with some town homes and some coach homes too.  With the great success that has been had here and the high demand for new construction we are submitting our plans to the city for even more new homes here including some single family residences.  The plans have not yet been approved but we are excited to hear soon from the powers that be on their approval on the rest of the riverfront / waterfront property here at Old San Jose.  We know the demand is high for new construction, we have had front row views of the inquires.  Some folks have asked for single family plans to choose from so we are attempting to fill that request.

List of Improving Housing Markets Nearly Doubles in January

January 9, 2012 - The number of housing markets showing measurable improvement nearly doubled in January with the addition of 40 new metros to the National Association of Home Builders/First American Improving Markets Index (IMI), released today.  The IMI now boasts 76 improving markets, up from 41 in December, with 31 states and the District of Columbia represented by at least one entry.

The index identifies metropolitan areas that have shown improvement from their respective troughs in housing permits, employment and house prices for at least six consecutive months. New entrants to the list in January…for more click here.

The great thing about the area around Old San Jose on the River in Jacksonville is that there is great character and charm that usually only comes from older communities but also the new infused shopping, arts and dining scene that typically comes with the trendy.  We are wonderfully placed in the middle with the best of both worlds.

Old San Jose on the River Hosts The Garden Club of Jacksonville’s “Modern Mediterranean Muse” Flower Show

Old San Jose on the River, the riverfront community located on San Jose Boulevard near Jacksonville’s historic San Marco district and Downtown Jacksonville, recently hosted The Garden Club of Jacksonville’s 90th Annual Flower Show and Home Tour. Guests enjoyed displays of “Modern Mediterranean Muse,” a standard juried flower show with horticulture and design divisions staged in four decorated model homes throughout the Old San Jose on the River community.

Each condo featured a special theme including “Perfect Pied-A-Terre” and “Winter Warmth.” Fictitious “owners” were also created for each model based on size and decor to provide the personality of an occupied home. Ribbons were awarded to entries in both divisions, along with four “Viewer’s Choice” awards for the most popular entries chosen by guests at the show.

The tree in historic San Marco Square is located inside an old-fashioned bandstand in the heart of the square. Not only is this a sight to see but a great photo opportunity for those looking for something out of the normal for the vacation or family photos.
